CDP Specializes in Geothermal Drilling
Geothermal Drilling involves constructing boreholes 180 to 525 feet into the Earth. A vertical loop is then installed in the open borehole. Contractors are then responsible to grout the boreholes from bottom to top for heat transference and to protect the deep earth environment. Grouting will guarantee a good heat exchange between the ground and the coolant.
The ground conditions throughout Ontario are very diverse. From the extremely hard granite rock of the Canadian Shield to the multiple aquifers of the Oak Ridge’s moraine it can be challenging anywhere for loop installations. Our company’s fleet of modern rotary equipment is up to the task in any Local.
Our rig is custom engineered specifically as a geothermal drill unit. With onboard air up to 500 CFM and 220 PSI, we’re ready for your project. Our rig has an onboard mud rotary equipment if ground conditions require more than air to maintain an open hole.
CDP is Versatile
Our equipment and staff are capable of drilling to assist in ground water exploration, ground water impact assessments, ground water assessment, hydrogeology studies, landfill monitoring and impact assessments.
